As with previous jobs they were punctual and on schedule, and the workmanship was excellent and couldn't be faulted - They designed, supplied and fitted a complete new bathroom and the work was to a very high standard.

The workmen were conscientious and unintrusive. You will never find a more helpful firm - . They tidied up and left no mess, taking it all away each day. I must also mention that Bob in particular was brilliant - I would highly recommend G&L to anyone who wants an honest firm who deliver exactly what you want with no hidden costs keeping you informed every step of the way.

We are so pleased with the end result - there isn't anything they could have done better!

We had some tiling etc done in our bathroom. It took two days as specified and after they left the place was clean and tidy. The work done was brilliant it has made such a difference to the room. Thank you G & L for your hard work, I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for all aspects of building and maintenance.

We had some plumbing work carried out by Grant and his team. They provided a written quotation with no hidden costs. The work was done to a very high standard and we found everyone involved to be prompt, professional and friendly. We are now considering them for future work in the house.

We have used G & L Over some time to carry out a lot of the day to day general maintenance for our offices in Gunwharf Quays and Port Solent. They react quickly when we have an emergency and go out of their way to make sure our customers are not kept waiting. They provide 24 hour cover for us 52 weeks a year. All the contractors are polite, friendly and trustworthy. I would certainly recommend them.

Just a few lines to thank you for the excellent jobs you have done for us at North End during this 2007. The conversion job of a cupboard/WC to allow the fitting of a shower room in the ground floor WC was excellent and very useful.

Similarly, the interior jobs involving carpentry to my model railway (2 or 3 visits for additional works) was very satisfactory. Also, the ‘making good’ of the frontage rendering was appreciated and once again the front of the property was tidy and respectable.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others for any type of building work and would contact you once again when there is a job to be done

PS. You know DIY is not my thing and I realize my limitations so call in the experts when necessary.

Finding a great builder to carry out work is always a worrying experience, however if you chose G & L you won't be disappointed. They were extremely professional from quote to finish. I was consulted at every point and they carried out the work to an extremely professional finish. I am so pleased with my new house front, it is the now the smartest in the street. Not only that, they happily did added jobs for me whilst doing the main job they were contracted for. I am so happy with them that I won't be going anywhere else. I can confidently recommend them, and have done already to many friends.

I visited the flat yesterday and I just wanted to say thanks for doing such a brilliant and professional job, it looks great! It's amazing what a nice piece of carpet and some blinds can do and you were right, I am very happy with my colour choices. It looks very homely now. Lovely washer/dryer too.
