As a candidate of Select Appointments I write to commend you on your recruitment consultant Jess's excellent professional attitude, she comes across well on the telephone sounding intelligent, considered and genuine. Unlike many consultants, she makes you feel like she has really read the spec, walked around the company, built up a relationship with the HR lady and can explain it all to you in detail.

Recently she found me an excellent job to apply for which really matched my requirements & she also posed a few questions to me to think about prior to the interview so that I was ready with an answer when I was asked. I also did my own research of course but after a second little conversation (very late) on the evening before my interview I felt confident that we had pulled together to give me the best chance of getting the job. Out of all the recruitment agencies I've worked with Bristol's Select Appointments, Lloyd and Jo are very helpful and deliver on what they say. Even if issues came up I knew if I spoke to Lloyd or Jo they would put in all efforts to amend the situation.

They are doing something to counter the bad reputation of employement agencies. They are real people who listen and put in a great deal of effort to work for their employees.

I haven't worked for Select for a long time now, but can say that I always found Select (especially Jo and Lloyd) to be one of the most proactive recruitment agencies I've contacted.

I would like to remark on a member of staff who has supported me from redundancy to my new position (as in my signature below)

I originally approached Select for permanent work back in October 08 due to pending redundancy, at that point I registered with Marie.When I became available for temporary work mydetails were passed toLloyd, he wasted no time & contacted me to gain more details on how to place me on a temp assignment successfully and swiftly.

I began my assignment the following week at the XXXXX, I had to hit the ground running in this post and there were times when it was extremely hard to continue at such a pace. Lloyd was a lifeline of support during this assignment, he was always there, from being a listening ear to offering fantastic customer service and care at all times.

Lloyd was prepared to go the extra mile and sometimes work beyond his duties to ensure I was reassured enough to continue a little bit longer. I have found his support, positive and diplomatic approach a breath of fresh air, I have no doubt that it was because of him that I was able to stick to my assignment at the XXXXX until my current post came up.There were times when I just wanted to give up and walk away.Lloyd stayed in communication with me on a regular basis, offering reassurance that he was always looking and would not forget me. As soon as this post came to him he put me forward and has continued to offer the same level of support and customer care as always.

Lloyd rang me to discuss my start date, references, final pay, holiday etc and then to congratulate me on my permanent position and wish me luck.

These little things take time in a a very busy day and given the current climate I take my hat of to Lloyd for remaining his professional self!!! Select should be proud to have a person like him in their offices, he is a rainbow in stormy times. Of course without Select he may not have had an opportunity to shine as brightly.
