  • Speedy assistance by nurse and hca

My elderly mother had a nasty fall in the garden about 4 weeks ago and cut her leg badly. She managed the wound herself for a few days but I called the surgery for advice as it didn’t seem to be healing. She was given an appointment the next day to see the Health Care Assistant and for the last 3 weeks, the nurse and HCA have kept an eye on the wound via appointments every 3 days. The staff have been kind and helpful and thankfully the wound is now healing. Great service.

  • Difficult to get treatment

Reception staff are helpful. When I've been able to get an appointment, the medical staff have been friendly, informative and helpful. HOWEVER, getting through the ghastly telephone appointment lottery is difficult and frustrating .... "the number you called is busy ..." again and again. Much too stressful. If I knew of a practice that didn't use this system, I'd be willing to put up with slightly less helpful staff.

Very happy with this surgery have been a patient for years, every surgery has its ups and downs but that's no fault of the gp's they are doing a wonderful job, caring and understanding, and very good with children. patients moan about phones not being answered quick enough, then they moan they cant get an appointment, people judge like to moan in general it does not matter what system you put in place it will never be good enough for the moaners of this world. This is a very caring surgery with great doctors, and nurses, you won't get much better.

most useless and uncaring service I have ever encountered. my son was very sick and I was asking for an emergency appointment at any time of the day. they didn't offer me anything despite I called in the morning ! a rude receptionist asked me to call back the following day! you are supposed to be a family GP. do you understand what does this mean? useless. I had to take my son to the emergency services.

A letter was received inviting me to have my medication reviewed which I accepted gratefully. I attended an appointment with The Willows 'in house' Pharmacist and underwent a very thorough discussion and examination about my repeat medication, blood pressure, weight, waist size, diet, alcohol intake and general life style. I was very impressed with the thoroughness and 'bedside' manner of the Pharmacist and commend The Willows and indeed the Pharmacist for keeping an eye on me without me having to ask for an appointment. Great G.P. service and as far as I am concerned The Willows is a credit to the NHS.

never been to a clinic as bad as this one. worst system ever. they don't want to see you. you get fobbed off with a telephone advice. or you see a locum or a temp staff. you can't get a follow up appointment to review your care you have to suffer again to get through the phones. shame on NHS services like this. they should close down. I am moving away.

I am delighted with the online booking and telephone system. I do not have to drive to the surgery nor wait when a GP is running late. I can get on with things at home or in the office while waiting for the call. I deliberately avoid driving as a consultation in such circumstances would be unwise. I carry the cordless phone around with me from one room to another in case the GP rings. On the rare occasions when I am required to have a face-to-face consultation, I am always seen promptly. Excellent system. Excellent GPs.

You have to wait for a call back for an appointment. And to talk to someone. I think Doctors and staff think a patient has nothing else to do but sit by the phone all morning. You can't go out in the car .Because you can not answer the phone when Driving..What is happening to our health service. You can not even go loo .

My experience and that of my family has been usually good.Getting an appointment on the telephone for the same day can be problematic indeed unless is about a child but you can do most things on line if you have internet access.I think they try very hard to provide a good service with capabilities they have. The doctors are excellent . They take time to understand your problem and to explain the course of action. I can only recommend them.

I recently had a surgery which required the dressing to be changed frequently. I have a very rare vasculitis & as a result of medications I have a very compromised immune system & many complications. I saw the nurse or the health care assistant three times a week & nothing was too much trouble. They were very kind, professional & sympathetic to my health issues. They made sure that my wound completely healed before they 'discharged' me. They are a credit to this practice & to their profession. Thank you.

I can always get a telephone consultation the next day or an urgent appointment on the day if necessary. Rarely do I have to wait over 15 mins to be seen. Today I was seen exactly at my appointment time. The doctor gave my daughter who is 10 years old as much time as she needed to explain and solved the problem in a kind manner ensuring she had answered all of her questions.

They have a new female GP. She gave me an appointment on the same day after a brief call. She has excellent bed side manners, I received a thorough assessment and I am happy with the outcome. she took my problem seriously, arranged further tests and a follow up too ! I have been struggling with the other Gps at this practice for the past year or so. I would Highly recommend booking with this particular GP.

As a patient the surgery only offers telephone consultations, the doctors then call you back & you tell them your problem/symptoms, the doctor decides if you need to be seen. The practice manager does not reply when you complain You call from the minute they open, wait 30 min for call to be answered only to be told all appointments have gone for the day. Prescription medicine they never prescribe the amount required plus for patients who pay for their prescription get 2 months, then they have to get a repeat prescription & pay again

  • Could rarely get an appointment

Reception always say call at 8.30 but their phones actually start to work from 9am. From 8.30 their phones are either busy or off the hook and when their phones actually start working you are told no more appointments available for the day. Please investigate this practice because I actually don't believe you see that many patients on mornings.
