Visited the doctor for a post natal appointment. He was so helpful, listened to exactly what I felt I needed and talked me through medication etc. Will continue to visit the same dr now as he really made me feel at ease and able to discuss anything .

Cannot ever get in to see a doctor even when desperate and ringing from opening phone rings off the hook no answer for a long time cannot complain to surgery because you have to download a letter and take in to the place you aren’t going to see a doctor frustrating

I have nothing but praise for the Albion Medical Practice. From the warm welcome from the receptionists, to the outstanding care and professionalism of the GPs and nurses. I am being treated for mild hypertension and in a matter of days I was fitted with a 24 hour monitor, blood test and follow up appointment. Very pleased. Keep up the good work!

I have needed to see a GP on several occasions all of which have been successfully arranged. The practice is clearly busy but things are dealt with efficiently. The GPs have always been approachable, professional and discuss concerns in appropriate language which helps the patient to discuss their problems with ease. Referrals have been made at the time which is really helpful.

Today I had a consultation with a doctor, apart from her very prompt and professional care, I was very touched that she was able to remember with incredible clarity the death of my daughter eleven years ago. She had called at the house to visit us to offer condolences, and from there she went to the funeral home where Fiona had been taken. I would like to congratulate her and all her colleagues for all the excellent work that they do, sometimes under difficult and trying circumstances. The NHS is a wonderful institution and we should be thankful to all who work for us, whatever their position.

While they have the same issues with appointments every practice does the staff are very friendly and helpful. The doctor who treated me was excellent and took the time to explain my treatment options and the reason for his recommendations, booking in my referral immediately.

I have been a patient at this practice for 10 years plus, I feel they have been very supportive, the receptionist are all caring if you really need to see a doctor and explain why, they will do everything possible to get you an appointment. All doctors are courteous, caring and have a real interest in why you are there. All of my family are patients here and we all feel the same.

It is impossible to get through by telephone in a morning to make an appointment. When you eventually do get through the reception staff always try hard to find an appointment for you. The online service is good, but there are never enough appointments listed. My recent visit was very good and the GP was able to book my hospital appointment online whilst I was there. This gave me the opportunity to pick a convenient time. I like the telephone appointments. This saves time for me and probably for the GP as well. More of these should be made available.

On this occasion and many others;. I've been seen and thoroughly discussed my options. Just once in all the 25years I've had failure in this and it was dealt with immediately! I know there is absolute room for improvement in the surgery and they can become the best in the area. 90% I'd give for a score and most definitely they are taking all patients feedback seriously

I have seen a doctor quite a few times now and I can't reccomend him enough ( although I'd rather not as it may make it difficult for me to get an appointment ??). He is very attentive and extremely knowledgeable and on top of that, a very nice man and easy to talk to.

I've been at this doctors since I was born my sister mum nana and many other family members are at the practice. Since being here I always see different doctors and not my own because there always busy and to be honest I don't even know who my doctor is. It's so hard to get an appointment because for them people who work and are not able to book an appointment at 8 can never get one I rang everyday for 4 weeks trying to get an appointment and was always told i was to late and to ring back tomorrow as all appointments had been booked and this is at half 8 in the morning also the online booking system if not booked at like 6 in the morning all appointments go I don't understand how people who work and don't know how to use a computer book an appointment I really do think this needs to change. All staff are lovely and try to help you as best as you can but for a long time I've struggled with a medical condition which isn't diagnosed yet but one of the doctors turned around and asked me why I had been left this long and not had any treatment well one because no one will put the time and effort into sorting the right treatment out and study me and two I haven't been able to get an appointment but overall it's a good practice just needs appointment bookings changed

While on holiday near Manchester I had an accident which required hospital admission. Following my discharge I became unwell and required GP intervention. Albion Medical Practice saw me on the day I requested a review. The doctor dealt with my specific issue extremely efficiently. She was caring and very approachable. She contacted the hospital department which treated me and made sure that the prescription she prescribed was correct. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming considering I was not their patient. An added bonus was a pharmacy right next door that dispensed my prescription.

I had an appointment today with a doctor and wonder how he would feel if a member of his family was in need of help and all they received instructions on how to leave his practice instead .This is a running theme at the moment. I have been with this practice from birth both my parents are there and my mum is seriously ill which means that I have to stay in contact with them. A receptionist tries very hard as do all the girls, however please dont get poorly or start needing medication or you will be deemed to be not the type of patient they want..I am left without a Doctor mid treatment now. I am staying with my Daughter very close to the surgery according to google my new address which is undergoing major work is 2.1 miles which is nearer than my old address at 2.4 miles. I do not expect visits so can only summise that I am not the type of patient they want as I need help. What happened to this practice. What happened to human kindness. What happened to the care. Despite me being extremely unwell. I am now without a G.P. Lets hope nothing happens to me. Hindsight is a wonderful thing after the event.

Currently looking to move away from this surgery. The most recent 2 occasions that I have rang - I was told to ring back in 3 weeks as there was currently nothing available for the biennial test that I had received a reminder letter for. The second - to ring back the next day as there was currently nothing available and they would be releasing the next allocation of routine appointments then.

I visited the surgery today with a pre-booked appointment. Unfortunately I was running late. I called the surgery to let them know and they asked me to get there as quickly as possible. In the end I was 20 mins late due to traffic. I apologised and explained why I was late. The receptionist phoned through to the doctor and asked if he’d still be able to see me. To my surprise, the doctor agreed and was VERY understanding. To be honest I’d have understood if the doctor was unable to see me. I would and have recommended the surgery to others and will carry on doing so! Thank you! :-)

  • Hard-working, dedicated doctors; outstanding support staff

I have been a patient of this Practice for 32 years, since the Richmond Group days. The doctors could work in the leafy suburbs but choose to work here despite the problems of pressure of large numbers of patients. Many of the doctors have the MRCGP, the optional qualification which proves their dedication to General Practice. The support staff are outstanding.. Their work is exhausting but they are always helpful, courteous, professional and genuinely caring. I have always been listened to attentively, have always been told the truth, have found that the doctors will negotiate with me on matters of medication etc rather than being bossy and opinionated. The receptionists, nurses, secretary and other support workers have always been thorough and professional as well as exhibiting a degree of kind and professional courtesy and friendliness that I have not encountered elsewhere. During a health crisis in Dec 2017 the intervention was swift and very helpful. I feel that I am in safe hands at Albion Medical Practice .In expressing my gratitude to all, I would particularly like the support staff, who are at the sharp end, to be given the praise that is their due.

I would like to make people aware that I have been a patient here for 50 yrs (before it was called Richmond Group Practice) . The old school doctors were very understanding and the staff and doctors very accommodating with all my needs . I would like to say the progression of this surgery has kept up to date with all the demands needs of patients and services required. I have always had fantastic service from all the reception staff who at times I have witnessed for myself the ignorant and abusive patients they have to put up with. If that was my role I would have ejected them from the building and removed them from the surgery list permanently. The staff and doctors bend over backwards for all patients concerned, however a minority do not appreciate the service they receive... It seem to me that it is a thankless task especially the reception staff. Keep up the Good Work as in my opinion I am very very happy with this surgery and have no hesitation in recommending this surgery to new non abusive patients. Mr C

  • Appointments are a problem but the reception staff are fab

Been a patient for 25 years now and have seen the decline of the appointments system, to be honest its pathetic. I only have to visit the doctors once a year if that, I had to take an emergency appointment this month (there were no appointments for 3 weeks). The doctor did not deem my ailment as an emergency and suggested that I make an appointment to see the nurse practitioner, the doctor said they would help. So yet again I waited 3 week only to be told they couldn't help and I needed to see a GP. Had a bit of a melt down when I went to see the receptionist, but they were amazing! Sorted out an immediate blood test and found me an appointment within the week. Can't praise the reception staff enough, they do their best under the constraints they have, the surgery just needs to get the appointment system sorted, it can be frustrating at best.

Went in on Tues 17/10 and spoke to a member of staff at reception whose name I didn’t catch. Very rude and frankly belittling. Incredibly unhelpful; I urgently wanted to sign up to the practice as I have a prescription I need to renew, and the member of staff had an attitude. Took no sympathy to my situation and provided no help other than to briskly hand me a form and wait until I left. No offer of alternative options for renewing my prescription, not even a pen for me to fill out the form. I am always confused when I walk in with a smile and a positive attitude and it’s met with a grumble and an eye roll. Very disappointing.
