My mother's been in Bourne House for over four years. In all that time I have had no reason for concern or complaint. I can go and see her at any time: just ring the bell and in I go! Everything is always clean and tidy and all the residents look spic and span. The food is nutritional, plentiful and well balanced. There is plenty of entertainment, for example singers and theme nights, like Pamper Night, Fish and Chip Night, Baking Night etc. There's also trips out to places like supermarkets, libraries, Portland Basin and theatres. The management is excellent as are the plentiful staff. Bourne House has our highest recommendation.

My mum's abilities have recently deteriorated and she is currently requiring assistance eating her meals and taking drinks. The staff have been really good with her and are very patient; taking time with mum trying to get her to eat and drink, as much as they can. I am happy that mum is well cared for and that her health is being regularly reviewed and monitored. The main room where my mum sits is bright and now has a homely fireplace, which I think is great. Mum has been at Bourne House over 3 years and they have made lots of improvements to the rooms and outside space, during this time, which have enhanced homeliness feel.

Bourne House gave my Mum excellent care. They gave her independence, dignity, love that she deserved. An exquisite sensory garden gave my Mum the opportunity to enjoy the final Months of her life in caring and peaceful surroundings and to call Borne House her Home. The attention of the management and staff to the care and needs of their residents and indeed their family is exceptional and having experienced it I found it heart warming. If that is not enough, the food is excellent being home cooked At the latter stages of my Mum's life the nursing given to her was exceptional. All the staff supported us as a family at a vary difficult time, they not only supported us at Mum's passing but also to help us make funeral arrangements. Having had previous experience of other care home providers I can honestly say that Bourne House is top of the premier league and I would highly recommend it to anyone in a position where they are looking for exceptional care for themselves or a loved one.

My mum has been at Bourne House for 15 months. She is both happy and extremely well cared for. The staff and management all go the extra mile to make her really happy and content. Mums room is lovely and the whole home is well appointed. I have no hesitation in recommending Bourne House. We count ourselves very fortunate that mum is a resident here because it's an excellent care home.

I visited Bourne House for over 25 years as friend and Eucharistic Minister from St Ann's Church. Over the past 10 years plus- it has become an excellent, welcoming home where residents are assured of a most pleasant experience- good food, plenty of activities and most of all a caring staff. End of life care is of the best- sometimes I've personally witnessed on several occasions. Sadly due to my own health problems I can no longer make regular visits and I miss them all.

Bourne House is a caring and professional care home, with dedicated staff who ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect. The premises are maintained to a high standard. The meals are both wholesome and varied and cooked fresh on the premises. An excellent home, always trying to improve on their own high standards.

My mother has been at Bourne House for just over 3 years and I visit her on a regular basis. I cannot recall any visit when I have not come away with the knowledge that she is being extremely well cared for. The level of activities and games are very well organised and enjoyed by all the patients, plus in the good weather they can sit out in the beautiful garden area. I can thoroughly recommend Bourne House and its excellent staff.

The staff are so friendly, go above and beyond their duties to not only make residents feel at home but also family members, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I was worried/anxious about mum moving into a home but this soon passed when mum settled quicker than expected and is loving Bourne House. It was difficult to get mum to try new activities and I thought she may have needed encouragement but she has joined in every activity in Bourne House and enjoyed herself. The activities on offer are excellent for residents social and interactive skills. Social/emotional well being is top priority for residents along with excellent care and dignity at all times. Staff took their time to get to know mums likes/dislikes and what she liked to do before becoming a resident there. She has gone out with staff and continued to enjoy shopping, library to record her memories etc and still being a part of the community which is important to both her and the family. Highly recommended.

His personal care was always met and he looked smart always. At the end of his life his nursing care was second to none he passed with dignity and the family was well supported.

I thoroughly recommend Bourne House to potential users and their families. The staff, management are very welcoming on first visit of enquiry and this standard is maintained to provide a caring 'home' environment supported by professional standards of nursing care. My mother was treated with courtesy and her wishes respected during the last stages of life. Overall excellent standards.

I would like to thank all the staff at Bourne House for their continued Care and compassion towards my grandma. Throughout her time and in her final days the staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty and have supported my family through this extremely difficult time. I would, without a doubt, recommend Bourne House to anyone that needs to find a caring environment for a relative to live in.

Highly recommended. Mr James Taylor lived at Bourne House for 9 months. My dad was very well looked after at this home. At the end, just before he died he was treated with dignity and care. I would recommend Bourne House as a safe and caring environment.

My grandad was a resident at Bourne House for 8 months. The staff were excellent with him and us, always friendly. Loads of activities for residents and they got us involved too. Summer fairs were a hit. My grandad unfortunately passed away today but the care he received from start to finish especially in the last few days cannot be praised enough. They were fantastic even down to getting the death certificate, they organised for that to be signed quickly. All in all a superb place!

I cannot recommend Bourne House highly enough, the care standard is excellent in all categories. My mum received the best care possible during her 13 years at Bourne House and especially during the last week of her life when we received so much support, kindness and nothing was too much trouble. I could wax lyrical on all the great points of this home but there is not enough space on this form.

My 95 year old father was a resident of Bourne House until his recent death. I was concerned about moving Dad to a care home as you read so many adverse reports. I need not have worried as we could not have chosen anywhere better. Although he only lived there for eight months he was happy and loved and cared for by the fantastic staff who went way beyond the call of duty. Nothing was to much trouble. The new sensory garden is a pleasure for residents and visitors alike. The manager and her team were also there to offer help and support in Dad's final days, something which we will never forget. Can't recommend Bourne House highly enough.

I had to make the difficult and upsetting decision for my 95 year old Mum to be cared for after she became unsafe in her own home. Bourne House was my choice after it was highly recommended by a friend. The care is exceptional and tailored to each individual resident. Staff are caring and respectful and create a happy and safe friendly environment. The new sensory garden area is fabulous with easy access for residents. Its stimulating with colourful and interesting familiar wall art. There is an area to relax and enjoy visits with relations outside weather permitting. After what was a painful decision I can feel confident that Mum is being cared for and is happy and contented.
